Calendar / Month View ~ Outside Border Box v5.02

I am currently running EssentialPIMProPort4.54_120208 [Lifetime Licence] on a Business laptop [XPPSP3], this has been running pretty near faultless for the past six months or so. Main use of EPIMPro is probably 90% calendar and 10% contacts.

Time to start testing the new version 5.02 release [EssentialPIMProPort5.02-120801], this has initially been run on another machine [XPPSP3] with a complete copy of the 4.54 database just to play with. First thing that immediately noticed in calendar / month view [which is my default] is the use of a new lined outside border box with shaded colour for each of the appointments. There are times when I can have 160 ~ 200 appointments showing in any one month, with this new outside border box and shaded colour scheme it is very difficult to see the appointments clearly. With the solid colours and no outside border, this was very much easier to read from, I need to know how to remove shaded colour and outside border box and get back to solid colour / no box – this box and shading scheme makes the new version 5.02 unusable for me. I will need to stick with EPIMProPort4.54 until this can resolved. Which I really hope it can.

I have had a look around the tools / options and new appointment / category colours options for ways to change this – there would appear to be no way of changing this or I am looking in the wrong places, where and how can this be changed?

I also don't like the gradient in the calendar appointments. It's really much harder to read/recognize!

The solid clour was easier to see. Much better usability.

VallejoT5: There is no option to switch back to the better style.

I also prefered the solid colors -there should be a possibility in the options to choose the classic style.

Thanks for the solid color is back in 5.03
It looks much better than the gradient colors.
