Re: Missing Notes in Google Drive after Sync

1-way Sync Notes to Google Drive
Synchronize deletions

I upgraded to version 6.52. The sync process terminates with no error but the progress bar does not go all the way to the end. When I check the Notes in Google Drive, some of the Notes are missing. I have deleted the sync and created new ones a couple times. I already submitted emails to epimsupport but the support person has stopped replying.

Will appreciate your help.

Sync Failure

Post by kweiss00 »

I was hoping the release of 6.52 would correct my problem but no cigar.

I have to re-sync with Google three or four times a day. I have determined that it is directly related to my internet connection.

I have a 3G connection which can get overloaded at times and the email will time out several times a day. During this time frame I usually get the loss of sync with Google.

I don't understand why EPIM can't just accept this and try again later.

I am dependent on the sync feature to keep track of several things on my phone, etc and this is now becoming enough of a headache that I am looking for a more reliable PIM.

Deleted apointments stayed at Google Calendar

Post by Drbo »

Subjects says all. If I delete any appointment (or if I change it), an appointment (or its older version) still stays at Google Calendar. I'm using 6.52 Pro Lifetime Portable version... (Synchronize deleted option is checked, of course).

This will be fixed in forthcoming 6.53

Do you synchronize Notes only? (no Calendar?)
Can you please send me the extended log for several last Google synchronizations?
Please enable the extended logging feature (in Tools->Options->Synchronization), start the Google synchronizations.
Logs are in C:\Users\ Your_Windows_Username \AppData\Roaming\EssentialPIM Pro\Logs for Desktop version and in "Logs" subfolder in case of Portable version.
Please send it to ma@essentialpim... with a link to this topic. Thanks!

I did it. This is the problem for me, I need to synchronize EPIM with Google Cal. I will try to use the regular version (not portable).

EDIT: With the regular version the problem stands... :-(

Please download latest version from here: http://www.essentialpim.com/get-epim
It might require to purchase additional updates if you do not have a Lifetime license.

We are working on improving it even more. Might take several weeks more.

OK, starting yesterday my google calendar synchronization stopped working
(I only installed the 6.52 yesterday, so I believe it is related)
google calendar sync is extremely important for me, "a couple of weeks" is NOT what I was expecting.
Do I really have to wait for 6.53?

EPIM dumps syncs intop google... but nothing comes back from google...
same as written here a couple of times over th epast month, so you know the issue

Thanks

Are these files also good for the free version?

Hello,

I also experienced the stalling problem, but between 6.52 and EPIM Android app (free). I have synchronized the calendar only.
After updating to 6.54 Pro, the synchronization (2-way) now works again but does not copy category colors from the desktop application (I have totally changed the categories and their colors). In the mobile app, the color management of cateories does not work properly. The desktop application also duplicated one event that I had modified. Another deleted event remained in the mobile app. For the time being the synchronization seems to be very unreliable. Previously it worked well.

Concerning the category colors, I personally don't like the color wheel, since it offers only pure colors, i.e. the color space is reduced. Brown, for example, is impossible to produce.

You should be able to see changes in categories if you click on Menu->Manage categories while being in Calendar.
Android version of EssentialPIM. Keep all your data in sync!
