Zoom options in Subbranches

Post by StevanD »

Hi,

The great thing that is missing in EssentialPim is the option to Zoom in a chosen subbranches.
Very often there are too many subbranches in larger projects and without this ability to easily zoom, it's too distracting to work.
Also, it would be good to have quick focus on some item by using "Star" and "Started" view.

These two functions are available in MLO, and it would be great to see them in Essential.

PS - I saw that I'm not the first one who asked for this Zoom option

Hi Max,

Will this be something that your Team might be considering in the close future?
This would be the really great thing to have in Essential.
Thanks.

Hello,

as you can see, there are so far not many requests for the feature...

Thanks Allekz!:)

These two features (zoom into subbranches and "stared" view by clicking the star besides the task/subtask and having the quick "star" view on the taskbar) are the two features that, for me, EPIM missing to be absolutely perfect.
I had many time temptations to use one another software which has much less features compared to EPIM (even though I've been using EPIM for the last 7 years, first Free and recently Pro version), but this program has zoom into subbranches and started view, because among all EPIM's great abilities, I mostly need quick focus among the huge structure of the subtasks.
I know there are possibilities to isolate the task by giving the specific Category and filter, but still this is complicating when it comes to the need to quickly and often switch between subbranches and tasks and set focus.
I hope EPIM team will consider these two and make EPIM absolutely perfect, which is very close to be.
Thanks.

I agree. And my case is simiar. I love otulining way to work on text, documents and files (maybe it's because my dominant left brain), and EPIM task module is a great tool for this. Not just for tasks and projects, but for storing notes as well. Indeed, many other outliners have the ability of zooning (some call it "hoist" in a particular branch). I would really appreciate that feature en EPIM too.
