[windows] searching in whole item

Post by Texter »

Hi,
i came across the following problem in EPim for Windows:
whenever i create a item in calender, notes, password section i`m only able to search the exact order of words

example for Password
Wlan companys-name location

if i search for
wlan companys-name location
it'll be fine. I see the item
But if i'm searching for
location wlan
i will not get any results.

Why am i asking?
sometimes it is usefull to use the first word "wlan" sometimes the "companys-name" or the "location" and continue more specific.
so i always have to keep a special order in my mind.

I suggest a similar way like google
either you are yousing loos words, or you write them in quotation marks

Hello,

can you show a screenshot of the problem? Showing where you enter the search item.

Hello,

in the normal search field on the top right corner.
I do not use tags in this cases.

all PW, without searching
pw-all.jpg

only regarding to person "Alpha"
pw-alpha.jpg

show all wlan works...
pw-wlan.jpg

i use "company" and "alpha" it doesn't work.
pw-none.jpg
i wish it shows me everything regarding to "company" and "alpha: wlan / e-mail / handy

problem clear?

Thank you for clear explanation. What you essentially are asking for is using operators like searchitem + searchitem. We will consider it as a feature request.
