Lost Contacts

My EPIM recently upgraded itself to v.4.24. I opened it today, to find that there is no "Contacts" tab in the list on the left, and my Contacts seem to have mysteriously disappeared. In place of the Contacts tab, I now have a tab called "Mail" (which I neither need nor want). At the same time, many of my Notes have disappeared, and number of notes has shrunk - it looks like a version at least 5 months old. Can anybody help, please? PLEASE!

a screenshot would help demonstrate the problem you are having.
Also tell whether it is Pro or Free version.
Maybe you opened an older version of a backup?

Max (Site Admin) provided the solution(s), and I am very grateful to him. My Contacts tab had vanished because in the new version the correct module was not selected - Tools->Options enabled me to sort that out. The epim file displayed was indeed an old one, and when I found the right one, all was well.
