Does that mean that you were able te reacreate the problem with a rooted phone yourself?

Re: Crash when connecting to Google
We think we know the cause of the issue. I'd ask you to try the new Android EPIM 4.5 Beta 1 version out. Here's the download link:

Will it work ok for you? Thanks!

Re: Crash when connecting to Google
It does work, thank you. I do got some other issues: when i install the new version all the enters in my notes are gone. So all my notes are one big chunk of text now.
When i press on my calendar it starts syning with Google. My appointments that last all day do get syned succesfully. But i don' t see appointments that don't last all day in my Google Calendar.
The holidays from Google are synced succesfully to Epim. But when i remove a holiday, it's not removed in Epim. Also when i remove a holiday in Epim, its not removed in Google.
Did not try to sync notes and tasks yet, maybe there are some issues there too.

Re: Crash when connecting to Google
Thanks very much for the feedback. I can confirm the first issue mentioned with notes but cannot confirm the other two. Please try to disable synchronization with Google Calendar and then re-enable again. If it doesn't help, try creating couple of new test appointments, will they be synchronized as expected?

Re: Crash when connecting to Google
Ok, maybe it's just me. Will try syncing when the new version is out.
I saw some back-up options in the new version and sending options to another device. I think this will make it possible to sync 2 Android devices with eachother, but it's still an hassle compared with Android > PC.
Are you planning to make syncing between 2 Android devices just as easy as it is now with Android > PC? I'm more on my tablet than on my PC nowadays and it's impossible to sync those 2 easily without a PC as 'device-in-the-middle'.

Re: Crash when connecting to Google
The new version is out, please check it out (download links are the same).
Regarding synchronization - you're right, you will be able to make a backup on one device and then restore it on another (we plan to automate the backup process in the future version). As for the automatic synchronization in between the Android devices - you can achieve that through the Google sync option. Is it a suitable solution?

Re: Crash when connecting to Google
Yes it's a suitable option but i would love to see a version where 2 mobile devices are not dependant of Google or any other 3rd party to stay in sync. Something like the sync between PC & Android right now: press a button and everything will be synced through your own private network. Hope this will be in future versions!

Thanks guys great service!
Btw, the humble bundle has a lifehacker software bundle the coming 2 weeks. In the 2nd week more software will be added for sale. Maybe something for EPIM 1 year updates? It will go for cheap, but it's worldwide marketing. Just letting you know ^^

Re: Crash when connecting to Google
I still get chunks of text after syncing Android with PC in the following situation with Beta2:
When i sync Android with PC, there are no chunks of text on Android anymore.
But right after i edit a note on my PC, and sync again, the note on my Android is a chunk of text again.
Can you reacreate this problem?

Re: Crash when connecting to Google
Please mention which Win EPIM version you synchronize with. Is it 7.2 Beta3 or 7.13?
