PPC Sync Problem

Post by Dracan »

I've just bought the PPC version, and when trying to sync, I get the following error ...
Absolute Engine Error # -8 Primary Key constraint 'C_PK$idDevice$idDatabase$idRecord' violated. Duplicate found. - Native error: 30319.

Hm...if you did not email us, then there is a similar issue with the sync.

Can you create a new database (File-> New) and then create a couple of entries, and try to synchronize? If it works fine, then the problem is somewhere in your database..We could fix it and prevent future cases, but would need your database for it.

Nope - didn't email.

When creating the new database, it didn't come up with an error, and it said that it had synchronised successfully. However, it doesn't seem to of done anything. Nothing on my mobile phone or epim database has changed.

I don't really want to send my database as it has personal information in it. If it helps, feel free to send me a version that creates a log file with more verbose information that I can send back to you.

The fastest way to fix it would be of course to use the database...OK, no problems, we will try to reproduce it some other way.

I have just registered using the code you emailed me (successfully) but I have exactly the same error message when I try to synch (screenshot attached).

My mobile is an O2 XDA Exec running Windows Mobile 5.0 OS.

People, how are you trying to synchronize? Please post a step-by-step list of your actions.

Does the problem occur with a new database? If yes, please forward it to us for analysis. Thanks.

Just via the 'Pocket PC Sync' item on the tools menu.

With a new database, it doesn't show the error. It says that it's succeeded successfully. However, it doesn't seem to have done anything. No new data was added to my phone.

Synch by going to 'tools' then 'pocketpc synch'. Starts to do something then the error comes up.

In terms of starting a new db, please can you describe the steps I need to take to do this and I will give it a go.

What about the database itself? Was the data from your phone added into it? Did you see progress bars runing during the synchronization process?

Simple :) Just go to File->New. You'll end up with a new and clean database file. Try to add couple of test contacts, maybe tasks into it and then synchronize.

Thanks!

Nope, no data was added to the database either. The progress bar appeared for each type of synchonisation, but the progressbar value stayed at zero (ie. no coloured bar went across the progress bar).
