Strange behaviour in notes search

Postby Filippo » Thu May 06, 2010 5:06 pm

Hello,

If I am on the notes windows and typing word in the search field the focus is lost frequently and the typed word is wrong.
Often happens that the focus goes into the active note and make a faulty text.

Any idea?

Latest version is 3.5, we do not support obsolete versions.

I forgot to mension that I tried version 3.5 but the problem was even bigger.
During a notes search the searched text was highlighted and when I deleted the search option the highlight did not disappeared many times and a focus went to a wrong place from the search box.

Just for test, try running EPIM database from Hard drive. It should be much faster and no problems in this casE? If you can confirm it, we might look into improving it so it runs faster from flashdrive (but we need to know if flashdrive is the problem).

Hi,
Running EPIM from a harddrive instead of a flash drive the focusing problem was not detected.
This notes filtering function should be tested more carefully.
Thanks for your help.
