Re: Failed to establish a Connection(unknown win32 10060 error)
Hi,
Epim Pro Version 2.81
2 x Licences
3 PC's in a workgroup
Epim DB file stored on a partition on main PC (acting as a Server/central repositary) - tried placing DB file on C: and on other shares, on of which is a hidden share
2 x PC's have Epim installed and connect to main PC, Which has DB file
Main PC has had a new Hard Drive fitted, XP and software installed on new Hard Drive
Firebird 1.5 (as 2 PC's/users connected to DB file) has also been reinstalled on main PC - it was on the old Hard Drive
Can ping main PC by IP and it also resolves PC name when pinged and can map drives ok
Yet, EPIM wont resolve main PC name or IP address when attempting to connect
I can browse to main PC (Server) via connect to database ok, but it keeps coming back with connection error
I have disabled Firewall on Main PC, but it still wont connect
Your help would be greatly appreciated !!
cheers

Still missing some information requested in previous post.
Also make sure ports indicated in the manual are really open.

Re: Failed to establish a Connection(unknown win32 10060 error)
If your server name is really "ruthvend..."
and the path to database ON THE SERVER is really c:\EPIM\Ruthven1.epim,
then connection window is correct.
Now you should open the ports in the firewall or router.
If you can connect to EPIM from the server using localhost, then something is wrong with your network setup.
Manual is as usual Help-> Help Contents
