EssentialPIM allows to setup 3 statuses for each item:
| • | Public |
| • | Public read-only |
| • | Private |
Status of an item has following implications:
|
Public |
Public read-only |
Private |
Visibility |
by anyone |
by anyone |
by owner only |
Modifying/deleting |
by anyone |
by owner or admin |
by owner only |
Owner - user who has created item or user who modified the item later. There can be only one owner of item. If user 1 created public read-only item, and later User 2 with higher rights modified it, Users 2 becomes an owner.
Admin means anyone who has higher access level (i.e if user has level 5, anyone having level 4 is actually an admin in relation to this user)
Modifying means changing content or changing status of an item or deleting it.
SYSDBA has some exclusive rights:
- creating/editing users (includes assigning rights to change categories and fields in Contacts)
- upgrading database to new version.
User levels: User with level 16 has lower access priviliges than user level 15. User with level 15 is an admin in relation to Level 16 items.
