Re: Version 7.11

Tomm I guess that with downgrading the language files were not replaced. In 7.11 english.lng the line 607= "blanc", where as in 6.58 in the english.lng file the line reads 607=P&icture There are more possible problems if you work with the newer language files. I do not know how you di...

Re: Version 7.11

We are going to include a new "All fields" view for the contacts add/edit window in one of the future versions. That might be exactly what you're looking for. I'll be keeping an eye on the evolution of 7.xx... And, I REALLY like the vertical option in the contact module... but, I'm afraid...

Re: Version 7.11

EDIT FIELDS/field order. -- 6.58 had a much nicer contact edit page (for me, 7.11 is a bit clunky) but also "field order" could be changed by using move up/move down buttons. That appears to be missing in 7.11. Will that be coming back? Or, is it there and I just can't find the procedure f...

Re: Version 7.11

I know this probably isn't the area for suggestions... but, since we're visiting about 7.11 I thought I might take a bit of liberty. --- I really.. No REALLY like that the contacts module now offers a vertical format, but it makes the page format then become quite wide. As such, I turn off the "...

Re: Version 7.11

Thanks, the next release with grid lines and alternate line colors is already here, please check the 7.11 version out. I meant in the "contact" info panel. I see in 7.11 the "index" portion of the contacts module does now option lines/alternating line colors, but the info panel ...

Re: Version 7.11

Okay!!... Getting closer! New UI ifs MUCH improved! I like the vertical format in "contacts" (A lot!) and ability to change appearance (i.e. font size). I'm guessing next release might include some grid line/alternate colors in contact module's field names and info sections. Admittedly, I ...

Make it look, feel, act like 6.xx and I think everyone will be happy. :)

Re: Just Upgraded to vesrions 7 and I hate it.

Well, I know I'll be sticking with 6.58 and just hoping it will continue to be supported under newer operating systems and... here's wishful thinking... perhaps occasional "patches." Ironically, what brought me to E-PIM was a great contact database, Sidekick 2.0, no longer supported and fi...

Re: POLL: Version 6 versus version 7

I much prefer the "Windows 'Classic look'" of 6.58 and prior. I'll stay with 6.58 regardless of no more code updates. Please consider at least providing occasional "patches." :(

Re: Transerring TEXT field data to a DATE field

I thought I replied, but I must have it the wrong button. :/ -- Thanks for your explanation, Max.. However, I may have a work-around I'm going to try. Since my export/import routine DID work but rather than overwriting existing records, it created duplicates. And, the conversion to the new "DAT...

Transerring TEXT field data to a DATE field

I'm trying to find the trick to moving date data from a TEXT field to a DATE format field. I've tried any number of export/import routines without success. For example... I've tried exporting just the "from" text field and importing back into the new date field. I've also tried exporting a...

Re: v.5.82 mail module patch request

On the other hand... I paid for support and it doesn't seem as though 5.82 is that much "older" version. With the way I use E-PIM, I don't get along with the "enhancements" you've built into later releases. Knowing something about computer programming; I can't believe a patch to ...

v.5.82 mail module patch request

I understand a Windows update is causing an error in EPIM 5.82 that prevents the mail module from working. And, I know you have fixed this in later versions. But, I'm pretty content with the way 5.82 operates for my needs. Would it be possible for you to consider a "patch" to fix this e-ma...
