Re: Notifications lost in Android v6.0.17

Unfortunately the naming is different on every Android device (version, vendor, language), but this should give an idea: Android-Setting => Apps => Battery Usage => Background Usage: EssentialPIM was already enabled. That was not it .... but your suggestion made me go through settings with a fine to...

[SOLVED] Notifications lost in Android v6.0.17

Android 14, Google Pixel 7a EPIM Android 6.0.17 Notifications of EssentialPIM Pro Android 6.0.17 stopped working (no sound, nothing), even if I can see the notification bell in the calendar task and notifications play in the desktop version. Essential PIM is present in “Notification manager” All per...

Re: [Bug] Repeated Events Stop Repeating

I'm a little bit annoyed about this "These events must have been imported into EPIM through a sync from another service or device." (here and in some of my other bug reports): Even though I did import my data from a Palm back in 2013 it was your sync into your system. And once they're in y...

Re: [BUG or FEATURE] Yearly Repeated Events Increment Number In Brackets

No, they were not. They were created in EPIM. And it turns out to be a feature of EPIM - but of the Android version, as I just found out: Create a never ending repeating yearly whole day event in EPIM Android, whose text contains a number in round brackets, like "Geb. Somebody (1966)" The ...

Re: [BUG] A Yearly Repeated Event is shown twice

No. It happens arbitrarily.

But, as I said, I've a database with only this faulty event in it.

Re: [BUG] .epim export drops repeated property on repeated whole day events

The issue has improved insofar as that the repeating events now retain their properties in the exported epim database ... but when that is opened, the repeats beyond the start-date are not shown, e.g. an event created on the 11.07.2013 and set to repeat yearly without end date is shown only on that ...

[BUG] A Yearly Repeated Event is shown twice

Essential Pim 11.8 Window 11 A yearly repeated event (Starts in 2013) is shown twice in 2014 and all the years after. Deleting any of the two (as the whole series) deletes 'both'. As usual, I've a cleaned epim database with only this event in it. Fun fact: If you look closer, you'll notice that one ...

[BUG or FEATURE] Yearly Repeated Events Increment Number In Brackets

Essential Pim 11.8 Windows 10 Either this is a bug - or a feature: But if it is the latter, I'd like to know where to enable/disable it - because it does not effect all yearly repeated events. I have a lot with the birthday in brackets that are not incremented, but a few - like this one - are. The t...

[BUG] Multiday Event shown one week too long in Monthview

EssentialPim 6.0.17 Android 14 Pixel 7a This is a curious one: An All-day-Event from 19.10. to the 3.11. (Android-EventEdit.png) is shown going from the 19.10 to the 10.11 (Android-MonthView.png) - both on the October and the November page. I had the same last year: An All-day-Event from 21.10. to t...

Re: [Bug] Repeated Events Stop Repeating

Unlikely ... or rather: no.

I certainly did not delete all the individual repeating events from approx 50 birthdays after 2022.

I rather suspect that your Palm Sync or Essential Pim itself of 2013 had a 10-year-cap on these events.

Re: [Bug] Repeated Events Stop Repeating

Yes, they did: About 10 years ago with the then still existing Palm sync (or was it an import? Can't remember). But why do they suddenly stop repeating, when there's no indication in GUI about that? What else repeated events sudddenly stopped. Impossible to manually check hundreds of events over 25 ...

[Bug] Repeated Events Stop Repeating

Version 11.8 Windows 10 I have about 100 yearly repeating events with no end date ... and about half of them suddenly stopped repeating after 2022. That's rather infuriating: Most of those are birthdays that I promptly missed in 2023. I have reduced my database down to an example containing just two...

Re: Is Database really empty after deleting all entries and trash?

Thanks for the confirmation ... I was not expecting 0 bytes ;-), but not 13 MB either - a freshly created Database is just 3 MB.
