Re: Database size remains same after deleting "deleted items" and optimizing db

Thinking about your first reply I realized that mail will have no impact as well as long as these mails do not contain attachments. I am an IT person, but sometimes I forget that for a while now most data records are small and its mostly media blowing up everything. Thanks for your assistance

Database size remains same after deleting "deleted items" and optimizing db

Subject says it all: After upgrading to 10.2 and looking at the huge number of deleted items, I emptied the folder and "optimized" the database. From the numer of items I deleted I assumed a huge drop in db size, but nothing at all happened. Is it a bug or simply wrong assumption? Cheers a...

Re: Not working on Windows 11

Same, had many programs suffering on Windows 11 and reinstalled Win10 after 2 weeks. First time where I would not report problems with software , just assume problems with the OS

Settings per Database

Feature I personally would like a lot to see: Store settings per database and not for the application. I have several databases that just consist of notes and tasks, but if I remove everything else on the sidebar, I remove it for all databases. And its not just the display of needed modules, much mo...

Re: Goodbye or perhaps not yet...

Reading 73G of writes only and below 100% sounds like a very bad device.
I was curious and checked all my drives. I have like > 20.000 hours, > 35.000GB of writes and 100%.
All Samsung 840 or 850 EVO. 73 G of write is one copy of the system folder only. Youre sure it is really that low ?

Just fyi, running on exactly the same problem.
I did not set the password myself, only created an entry and let EPim set the pw and confirmation.

Re: 8.1 freezes on receiving mails

Tried this morning with 8.1.1, same problem, program freezes after displaying the first mail popup notification.
After reading another topic in this forum I unselected "Show new email notifications for:" and the freezes are gone.
I used 8.1.1 Pro Portable on Windows 10 1607.

Re: 8.1 freezes on receiving mails

After reading some threads, I thought I try again with fresh installation in a different folder, use the synchronizer to create a new database with the old content on a different SSD. After receiving fresh mails, right after the first new small mail popup show, the program freezes, taskmanager does ...

Re: 8.1 freezes on receiving mails

Max, it happens AFTER new mails have been received, the popup window is long gone when it happens. And with 8.05 even during receiving mails or the Send/Receive popup being open with error message like now ""?" is not a valid integer value, I can read mails or do whatever I want. It i...

8.1 freezes on receiving mails

Since upgrading to 8.1, EPIM freezes each and every time after switching to the folder containing new mail. The new mail is not even selected. After waiting some min, everything is fine again. Unfortunately, I forgot to make a copy of the last version, is there any way to download the previous one ?...

Re: EssentialPIM Free and Pro 8.0 Release Candidate is here!

Max, I found out the reason of blurry fonts on Windows 10: After setting "Display settings" - "Customize your display" - "Change the size of text, apps, and other items: 100%" on display 1, while display 2 remains on 125%: On display 1 at 100%: 8.0 RC1 fonts are crispy ...

Here the screenshot. Especially at smaller font size like the calendar, you should notice the difference easily.
It is the same issue as viewtopic.php?f=2&t=19694&p=86263#p86263

Re: EssentialPIM Free and Pro 8.0 Release Candidate is here!

I just tried 8.0 RC1 and noticed that an old bug reoccurred and fonts are blurred on 4k displays.
Side by side comparison with 7.66 shows a big difference.
