Re: Why doesn't middle mosue open links in notes?

In the mean time if you feel like playing with AHK [AutoHotKey] and want to try it out I've been using middle click to open links in EPIM since I started using EPIM using this AHK v1 code: [Note change Ctrl to Alt if you want links to open in the main window instead of a popup editor] #IfWinActive a...

Re: New modules

I don't want to be the wet blanket but why not just take a note item and have links to your spreadsheet program or better yet, individual spreadsheets or any other data file? Also, there is already a table feature. Might not adding some simple math possibilities solve the issue for those smaller ne...

Re: New modules

I'd +1 a simple/essential spreadsheet module for tracking things like this, I think it would actually be nice to keep them independent so that both notes and spreadsheets can have a clean interface. Simple being: - Sort by any row [natural sort 1,2,3,10,11,12..etc NOT 1,10,11,12,2,3...etc] - Sum any...

Re: Tag-Colors are lost

Not to high jack this thread, but since it's where the build was posted I figure it was the most fitting place to mention this: Well trying to duplicate the tag color lost bug to see if it was fixed I noticed that quick search is buggy in this build and just wanted to point it out in case it was a n...

Re: Database Size

In my experience a lot of emails are in the Trash/Deleted Items and Sent folder. For the Trash/Deleted Items you can empty it by right click -> Empty For Sent emails you have to manual go though and delete the ones you don't want. I don't use spam filtration myself, but if you do then the spam folde...

Re: HUGE file size

I had a big error. Not sure if it's something I did wrong or have to change in the new file's options or not but I can't figure it out. I created a new blank database file, exited EPIM and used EPIM Sync to sync everything from my original file to the new file. All seemed fine in the new file but w...

Re: Search and Repeated Items Speed

MetalDrop, regarding point number 2 from your post. The difference in number of found emails (I assume we're talking about an IMAP account) is because quick search only looks through the already loaded messages, while advanced search looks on the mail server, as well. I only use POP3 and have all m...

Re: Search and Repeated Items Speed

Some interesting things I came across: #1 My screen DPI is 150% on windows 10 and the result numbers in advanced search are being cut off. #2 The quick search and advanced search are given concerning different results. - Quick search returned 13285 - Advanced with the same settings returned only 130...

Re: Does the EPIM spam filtering system actually work?

Correct me if I'm wrong, because I probably am, but isn't EPIM spam control just the collection of rules at: Top Menubar -> Tools -> Message Rules? As far as I know there's not any real self learning / AI way to mark spam as spam and have the system artificially learn or do anything. Just a way to c...

Re: HUGE file size

If I were to hazard a guess, perhaps you at some point setup a google sync for your calendar or contacts and didn't realize that by default the checkboxes for Notes & passwords [both use google drive] where checked.

Re: HUGE file size

Large file size can be perfectly normal depending on what you are doing. A well used pop3 email account for example were you rarely delete anything or never empty your trash can quite easily build up 1-5gigs in a years time. Some things that can help if you think you might actually be having trouble...

Re: Search and Repeated Items Speed

I'm curious what is your CPU and RAM load before and during you searches? Also what is the specs of the hard drive you have your database on and have you checked it's SMART info lately to make sure it's healthy? My biggest database is quite a bit more data heavy then yours is and I can't get an adva...
