Re: Problem connecting app to PC for synchonising
Thank you. My final question is about the fact that I have a second (backup) PC. I use this in case my main PC is not available or has a problem of some sort. I copy the EssentialPIM data on to it to use as a backup. So will EssentialPIM allow me to register a mobile device for this second PC (as ...

Re: Problem connecting app to PC for synchonising
Thank you, that solved the problem and I've now been able to synchronise my latest phone with with the PCs EssentialPIM. So can I theoretically add as many Android devices as I like to synchronise with my PC? Conversely, is there any facility to remove an Android device from it?

Re: Problem connecting app to PC for synchonising
For security and privacy purposes you'd need to create a separate synchronization for each of your Android devices.
What precisely do I have to do to create separate synchronisation for my new devices? I've had my old (working) device setup to sync for a number of years and, due to length of ...

Problem connecting app to PC for synchonising
I have been using EssentialPIM for a while and currently on version 9.9.7 under Windows 10. I am manually updating the data in the PC only. From time to time I am therefore connecting the mobile app on my Android phone to synchronise the updated data there. The strange thing is that I have several ...

Re: Huge number of duplicated appointments have suddenly appeared in my calendar
1. Both sync modes (one-way or two-way) are supported, you can choose the one you prefer.
2. If there's the same Google account on both of your device, syncing just one would be fine.
1 I'm using Android EPIM version 5.7.4 and I just want the Google calendar sync to work one way from EPIM ...

Re: Huge number of duplicated appointments have suddenly appeared in my calendar
I'd recommend you to use EPIM DupeRemover, it will clear up all the duplicate items almost instantly, please have a look here: https://www.essentialpim.com/pc-version/supplementary-apps
Thanks. After installing it I instigated the DupeRemover and it told me it's removed about 800 duplicate ...

Re: Huge number of duplicated appointments have suddenly appeared in my calendar
Were the appointments duplicated on your second Android device or in WinEPIM?
It all happened so quickly that I cannot recall the events exactly. I believe the first time I saw the mass of duplications is when I looked on the second (new) Android device after syncing from Windows. I was so ...

Huge number of duplicated appointments have suddenly appeared in my calendar
I have been using the free version of EPIM for a number of years for setting up calendar appointments without any problems. I normally create the appointments on a Windows 10 PC and then synchronise to a mobile device using the Android app. The Android app syncs with Google Calendar which enables me ...

Re: Difficulty importing from MS Outlook
thank you for the log. It clearly states "MAPI was unable to load the information service pstprx.dll. Be sure the service is correctly installed and configured."

Re: Difficulty importing from MS Outlook
OK I have emailed the error text on Sunday and hope you have received it. Incidentally the version of the product I used was v7.63.
While I was researching the history of the problem I found an earlier version of essentialPIM v4.01 which I used a few years ago for a short while. To my amazement ...

Re: Difficulty importing from MS Outlook
EPIM heavily uses Outlook components to import Outlook data. That's the only legal way to import this data.
Please start Outlook and make sure it is working fine with your file.
