a8907433, all deleted messages end up in the Deleted Items folder. So you shouldn't be able to delete something unwanted completely right away by mistake.

Скорее всего вы открыли ещё какое-то доп. окно из открытых окон, которое оказалось где-то в фоне (например, с напоминаниями), в таком случае пока не закрыть это доп. окно, доступа к тому, из которого оно вызвано, не будет.

Please post a screenshot with the contacts you think should have been marked as duplicates. If they have different names but same phone number they aren't going to be considered as duplicates as couple of people might have the same work phone number, for instance.
