Two open EPim databases with drag-drop between the two

Make it possible to open two different EssentialPim databases (or two concurrent copies of EssentialPim running) and drag-drop items between the two.

Some explanation:
I use Notes heavily---I don't use scraps of paper any more, I collect all information in Notes.
Accordingly, my Notes contain a ...

Mods, please delete -- was not a bug

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create 3 tasks with 'Add to Root'
2. Select all 3 (tick their checkboxes)
3. Right-click any one of them and select Delete
4. 'Are you sure you want to delete the selected Task(s)?' --- click Yes

The task you right-clicked gets deleted, the other two remain.
Expected ...

Notes -- table copy operations

EssentialPIM copy/paste operations on tables don't seem to operate as expected.

Scenario: copy cells of a row in an existing table to cells of another row in the same table
Steps to reproduce:
1. In Notes, create a default 3x3 table. I'll call the columns a, b, and c, resp., and the rows 1, 2, and ...

What is not public is their database format. Their RTF export format is very straightforward (described in a previous post in this thread).
Tweaking the ePIM's RTF import wouldn't bring much; the problem is the loss of structure, but that could be solved based on Treepad's RTF export format.

Please read "testerh" instead of "Guest"...

And I just saw that the subject title is wrong: it should be Treepad import, not export.

I just tested Treepad import, and the results are not too good (unless I have overlooked something):

1. Loaded Treepad database into TreePad X Enterprise 7.4.1 (plain ASCII strings, no formatting)

2. Exported
- to text
- to multiple RTFs (not an option, there are too many nodes in my tree to sew ...

Hi Max,

1. Format:
You are right. Since I am using the free version, I lost sight of later development. The database format is not public. What is public is the file format for v3.x - 6.x: http://www.treepad.com/docs/fileformat.txt

2. RTF export:
Does not exist in the freeware version. It only has ...

Check existence of linked attachments in Notes

It would be nice to have an option that would check whether attachments linked to notes still exist. (On the analogy of MS Word updating fields in the document.)
Currently, if a file linked to a note is renamed or deleted, the note will still display that file as linked.

Language issue (Hungarian) - very minor

The date above the small calendar on the right is in the wrong order in Hungarian: it is currently <month> <year>, while the correct sequence would be <year> <month>.

[edit]
Using the English version of Windows XP Pro with SP2, Regional Settings Hungarian, EssentialPIM language set to English ...

No edit cursor when adding/editing contacts

When adding or editing a contact in v1.5.1, there is no edit cursor in the edited field.
The insertion point does change to the position clicked, but no cursor is displayed.

Extending this a bit further, an outliner would be a nice addition. It would allow adding structured information (e.g. contact info, links, or anything else) to EssentialPIM. Treepad (has shareware and freeware versions for Windows and Linux) provides all of this, MINUS the organizer functionality ...
