Re: Migrating to smaller notebook on portable Version

lameduck, if you wish I think we better make a full refund to you.

It's not about money. It's about years of data not being able to be accessed. I really don't understand the issue here.

Let me qualify it:

1. Two computers with clean installs of XP Service Pack 2, neither can load V3 EPIM
2 ...

Re: AV on EPIM Pro Portable 3.0 RC3 startup

mdiazg, I am afraid we will have to exclude Windows 2000 from supported systems for version 3.0. Just too much work to keep it running on this and not many users at all.

Obviously, I am not worthy of a reply.

I use XP and have the same error message. Is there a solution for my situation? I am a ...

Re: Migrating to smaller notebook on portable Version

Yesterday I posted this information in the wrong thread at: http://www.essentialpim.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7142#p30291 - regarding my new computer which will not load V.3 RC1 BETA with unusual peculiarities when the V3 exe is placed in V2.8.1 environment.

Ok, I have more information to ...

Ok, I have more information to share to get this issue resolved because BETA 3 does not open on my XP (Revision 2) system and it is similar to the error message in this thread: http://www.essentialpim.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7089.

Towards solution, firstly, this is the error message that XP ...

Hi E2CMonkeyBoy, I agree with the things you have said about being locked in. Are you able to provide the name or link to the software you refer to.

My problem is a little different. I had two computers both XP ...

Re: Module Visibility

What do you mean by "Database dependant"

For example if I wish to see notes and schedule on database "A"; and I wish to see ToDo, Mail and Contacts only in database "B". I can't do that! Can I?

how namely is "freedom you give the user is immediately limited"?

You give a choice to chose but it ...

Module Visibility

Thank you for allowing user choice which modules a visible when you start up EPIM. However, this is not database dependent, which means the freedom you give the user is immediately limited.

Can we please have, database dependent module visibility?

Re: Portable EPIM

Is EPIM Netframework dependent?

Quite by accident I upgraded my Neframework to 1.1 on the newer computer that originally would not start EPIM and EPIM works again on that one. As the Old notebook would not start EPIM subsequently, I downgraded back to 1.1 on that one too, and now both work ...

Re: Portable EPIM

I have been experimenting with various options. Regarding this issue:

EPIM 3.0 Beta does not start. SO far reason unkown, will see if other users have such reports. Until that no action.

Version 3 will start with V.2.8.1 Gds32.dll. But it will not open V3 database because there is a huge code ...

Re: Portable EPIM

Firstly, I have more information to help identify the problem. I installed EPIM V.3 BETA4 (install version) and it brought up an enter reg key dialog as per the screenshot below. Of course I could not input the reg key as I do not hold a Install Version License. When I cancelled this dialog, it ...
