Not this time.... BUT, early this morning, I was unable to sync, even manually. Now, at 10:23 AM, the Android did not see the PC, but I was able to sync manually..... :roll:

Yesterday, sync worked. Today it does not.
I tried to do as you said, disable then reenable firewall, no success.
I even tried disabling firewall, rebooting and reenabling firewall, without success.
I will now try a reinstall on the android with the latest apk you just suggested.

Thanks I'm going to install this version if it fails again, but in the meantime I tried something on my side. I reinstalled the same PC version I had, complete with Firebird, over the current installation. Then I restarted EPIM, [but it couldn't open the DB, said "the computer host has expressedly ...

I am reactivating this thread. Same thing occurred this morning.
The Android app sees the pc, but cannot synch, says I should check the firewall. :?
I have NOT changed anything on any of the devices since last sync. And I tried again withouth the firewall.
Current versions: 2.2.7 on Android and 5 ...

Yes, it seems I was using a custom version because only titles of the notes were showing, the note contents being empty. This was some time ago. I confirm that with 2.2.7, notes are not empty!
BTW I read that 2.3 is on the Google store, but I don't connect to Google with my Android. A choice I made ...

version 2.2.7 of Android EPIM worked for me.

My Windows is Win 8 64 bits on Intel Core i7-3770 @3.40 GHz with 16 Gb of RAM and EssentialPIM Pro Network and I was running Android EPIM 2.2.6 (unsure if may have been 2.2.5) on my Android 4.2.1.

Same thing here. It worked on sept. 4 (last sync), it no longer synchronizes today. ITyhe Android app sees the PC (well... most of the time), but when I touch it, I am told to check the firewall, which is stopped.
I've not done anything regarding configuration nor installed anything on the PC or the ...

Suggestion : Being able to change note icons by right clicking on the note title in the list. The pop up menu would display a (limited) choice of 5 or 6 icons, without the need for a sub-menu. These icons could be pre-dtermined by the user or the most frequently used
icons.

EssentialPIM Pro Network stopped working

I upgraded from EPIM Pro to Pro Network. PC1 holds the db and firebird, EPIM on PC1 connects as SYSDBA to db.
PC2 connects as a user. Firewall questions were fixed and everything worked well.
Then I changed Internet provider and got a new dsl modem from the new provider.

All attachments were added "as files", not as links. This seems to be fixed in latest version 5.56, though.

Mmmm, I'm confused. This is what the EPIM Synchronizer page says:
"Performs either two-way or one-way synchronization of EssentialPIM database files
Works with local databases, as well as over the network"

Well, if you say it won't do that, I'll give a try to EssentialPIM Network then.

Path to Attachments in Notes

Whenever I try to open an attachments to a Note by double-clicking on it, I receive the message that path to the file cannot be found and "Unable to copy to temp file". I have to save the attachment, for instance on the desktop, in order to open it.
Any help appreciated.
