Re: Strange Characters in Various Fields
"Simple" sounds like a good plan! I'll be watching for 3.23, and will let you know what happens after I install it.
Thanks!

Re: Strange Characters in Various Fields
Yes, Max. You're right. We're on the same page.
As for backing up, and then deleting and recreating users, I can do this. But, before I do:
1) Even SYSDBA is garbled. Can I delete the master account, under which I am logged in? Even if the other user names were corrected by this action, how would ...

Re: Strange Characters in Various Fields
I thought that I had remembered discussing and trying your suggestion before, but did it again just to be sure. Sorry... This still doesn't work.
I logged in as SYSDBA, turned off all users (except SYSDBA), closed the window, reopened it, turned everyone back on, including users 1-3, and then I had ...

Re: Outlook Synchronization Error - Notes
Sure, Max. I don't have any problem with sending it. Give me a while to purge out everything else, and then decrypt it. I'll then attach it to a PM.
I've been getting an "Invalid Pointer" dialog, too. And, since I'm networked with the wife's PC, she has been getting these errors on her machine ...

Re: Strange Characters in Various Fields
Sorry about that, Max. You're right; it's an .avi file. I tried to convert to to Flash, but the resolution was intolerable. So, I've uploaded it to a different file server, and will PM you a link. Thanks again.

Re: Strange Characters in Various Fields
Hi, Max.
Just thought I'd touch base with you, and see if you've had a chance to view the video I posted. (Sent you a link in a PM.) If so, can you tell me if this problem is functional, or merely cosmetic? We've been holding off on using the Notes module until we know what's going on.

Re: Strange Characters in Various Fields
Hi, Max.
Sorry to trouble you on the weekend. It's been so long since I had one that I had forgotten they existed!
This problem seems to be more than cosmetic. I'll be PMing you a link to a video I did which I hope will show the problem better than I've explained it here.
Thanks.

Hi, Max.
Any luck yet? I've tried to fix it myself, but I'm out of ideas.
Thanks.

Re: Strange Characters in Various Fields
I tried both of your suggestions, and neither worked. The new user's name shows with garbled text just like the others.

As always, many thanks. We love EPIM, and really appreciate all that you're doing to make it the best application in its ...

Re: Strange Characters in Various Fields
Hi, Max.
Yes, the database is password protected. This has always been so, however, and I haven't had this problem before that I'm aware of. Once I've entered my password, the data "should" be decrypted, right?
Thanks.
