I installed the firebird on the server (seems to be a 2.1.5 according to the uninstaller, no files in the firebird folder have changed however)
I installed EPIM 6.55 on the client
Will keep you posted if fixed or not

Hi Max, Thanks for this I assume when you say "shutdown EPIM server" you actually mean "shutdown Firebird server AND shutdown Firebird Guardian" Is that the case? If I try to install the installer you reference, I get to select "install Firebird server" too Is that a new firebird installer? How do I...

Thanks for your reply.
The 2.1.4 I have on my server is the one installed together with my EPIM installation, so the installer came from essentialpim.
Apparently I need to upgrade my 2.1.4 to 2.1.5.
Can I safelyy make that upgrade, or shoulmd I start making backups, shut down the EPIM server...?

An annoying one this is since I need to restart Firebird multiple times per day... it makes the entire EPIM app unreliable I posted before in a different thread, but it has not been picked up nor replied to so it might be better to make it a fresh post after all For quite a while I am having issues ...

I am not sure I need to add this to this thread or create a new one, but for quite a while I am having issues with the FireBird service that blocks or stops a couple of times a day I need to stop the firebird service on the server (if it did not stop from itself) Here is what I find in the firebird ...

mmh, strange, something weird with FireBird. It seem to have an issue starting or was killed I deleted the lck file and started the service and all is running fine now So it was some sort of Firebird issue. I will keep a close eye on what is going on there Windows 2003 server, 32bit, Firebird 2.1.4 ...

Thanks for your reply Max. I am not aware of changes to firewall nor router. Given that rebooting the server provides a temporarly fix and the message is clearly a thunderbird message (implying the requests gets throught to thunderbird anyway) I was more looking into that direction I would suspect t...
