Re: Temporary EPIM sync solution for PPCs with WM 5.0/ WM 20

I'm running WM5 on an iPAQ 2795. Another option is for more advanced users Copy the RegEditSTG.exe onto the device, launch it and change the policies as follows: - Navigate to HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\ - Click "Values" soft-key - Change "00001001" value to 1 (decimal) (recovery note: default...

The first option is for less experienced users. - Copy SdkCerts.cab onto your device and execute it. - Copy conf.cpf ont...

Dracan, thanks for confirming that. Yes, it's safe to leave changed values as they're now.

Except for some minor bugs found in schedule and contacts that could affect synchronization, we cannot find any other problems so far. At least until you provide us with a specific list of actions for your problem.

That's not possible so far. We'd need to create a PPC version of EPIM then and synchronize via ActiveSync. Despite of that, only 1 task is being synched (if changed), not the whole database :)

Here’s another task for users with Orange Smartphone SPV C500 WinMobile 2003SE (sorry no news about PPCs running on WM5.0, yet). - Copy SdkCerts.cab onto your device and execute it. - Copy conf.cpf onto the device and run it. Will EPIM synchronization work after that? Another option for advanced use...

Dracan, here's another task for you 8) Please run the attached prog having your PPC connected. It should temporarily disable all the security restrictions on your device. After that, please try to synchronize with EPIM. Will that work? andreakn, could you please also try that with your WM5. Thanks.
