It sounds like you file extensive notes. I've found that Keynote is an excellent freeware notes organizer that has a comprehensive and fast search tool, very intuitive interface and many useful features, such as a spell checker. I was using Keynote for my my To Do's as well as writing, but now that ...

Can't Print EPIM Today Page
I agree that printing EPIM Today would be a good feature to add.

Overdue ToDo's
I had the same question in a different forum and Max explained that EPIM Today is just that: for Today. It's not designed to display history. You can, of course, display upcoming ToDo's in the preview option of Tools\Options\EPIM Today. To see overdue ToDo's, the expectation is that we will go into ...

Can't Resize EPIM
When you put your cursor at the far right side of the screen, does it become a parallel line with arrows pointing left and right, indicating you can drag the panel? Try double clicking at that point. The panel should show up. Dragging to the left should also work.

Access Violation -- Test Database
Hi, Max. Attached are two databases. One gets the access violation error. I just created it this morning from a new database. I was able to add more fields this time than yesterday before I got the error. But I followed the same sequence: add a contact, add a field, save the contact, click on the co...

Test Plan for Access Errors
Attached is a series of tests I ran to identify conditions when the Access Violation occurs with contacts. Patterns I detected indicate it happens after you add a field and when you leave the Contacts screen then come back to it.
I'm using 1.5.3, the free version.
Hope it helps.

What I Like About EssentialPIM
I was looking for a suitable PIM companion to Keynote, the notes organizer that I've been using for several months, and EssentialPIM is the best I've found. Here are a few of my favorite things: * Runs on a USB drive. I'm not tied to work, home or even the Internet. * Easy-to-use import for contacts...

Making Back Ups
Another method is to
1. File, Save As
2. Select the folder where you want the back up and click Save
Note: Your back up is now the database that's open (notice the file name in the title bar). To return to your original, close the current database and re-open your original.
