Re: German translation of dates and weekdays

Yes, I'm willing to test v4.7 beta - let me know where to get it. The order in German is always Day.Month.Year, so today, April 2nd, 2017 is either "02.04.2017" or "2. April 2017", but never "April 2, 2017", "04/02 2017" or similar. And if you prefer to abbrev...

Re: German translation of dates and weekdays

Now I have installed v4.6.1 and a lot has improved indeed. I have numbered the five sections in my original posting and am referencing to these numbers here: #2: The day/month order in the first line of each item is now correct but unfortunately the weekday is gone in this version. Furthermore, if a...

Re: German translation of dates and weekdays

It took some time, but here they are (tested with EPIM 4.5.3 on my BQ M4.5 with Android 5.1): The date format in German is generally Day.Month.Year - some EPIM elements show the dates correctly this way, but many don't; they use the format "Month Day", which is VERY unusual here. Examples:...

German translation of dates and weekdays

Hello there,

there are some quirks in the German translation of EPIM for Android (v4.53), especially concerning dates and weekdays in the calendar module. If you're interested, I will post a list and some screenshots.

Re: Some serious privacy concerns

What if I do NOT want this? A personal organizer contains some very private data, so I expect that if I decide to synchonize it only between my Android phone and my PC, not a single bit will leave my home network. Do you remember your "anti-prism" page (now removed, but still visible via h...

Some serious privacy concerns

Why is EssentialPIM for Android (v4.52) is trying to connect to an IP address outside my home network although I don't want to have my contacts/calendar synchronized with any Google server (in fact I don't even have a Google account)?

At least my firewall tells me this...

Re: Android Calendar widget shows item at wrong date!

Oops - you must have misunderstood me: The problem occurs in the months October/November 2014, October/November 2015, October/November 2016, October/November 2017 (but not in the other months of the mentioned years!). So it doesn't occur in the leap year 2016 only!

Re: Android Calendar widget shows item at wrong date!

No change if I remove the second event on this day.

Now I tried it with different years. It seems as if the problem only occurs at the end of October/beginning of November, not at other end of months (tried out the years 2014-2017).

Re: Android Calendar widget shows item at wrong date!

It doesn't have something to do with reccuring events as I have deleted this single entry and recreated it, so it's not conntected to the reccuring event it originated from. I did some more tests with non-reccuring events, here are my results: The problem seems to occur only with all day events and ...

Re: Android Calendar widget shows item at wrong date!

See attachment (the recurrence is removed, because I have deleted and recreated this event, but this made no difference). I switched to English language just for this screenshot, usually I have set it to German.

Android Calendar widget shows item at wrong date!

Hello, now that I switched from a Symbian feature phone to an Android 5.1 smartphone, I'm using the Android synchronization feature of EPIM for calendar items and contacts. Generally the Android app works well, better than the SyncML solution I had to use with my Symbian phone (with a Funambol serve...

Trying to import an .ics file on Android

Hello, I received an appointment mail with an .ics file attached to it from a Novell/Microfocus Groupwise user. When I click on this .ics attachment in K-9 mail on my Android smartphone in order to import the appointment into my EPIM calendar, I'm able to open it with some more or less useful apps b...

Re: Which EPIM for Android version with EPIM 6.58?

For me it's no problem, as the only modules I currently want to synchronize are calendar and contacts.
