I know the voting ended... I'm too late....
I would voted for cross-linking - that could also made a bit easier.
My favorite wanted feature is: tag-system

Thanks Max. I voted.

I read here in forum a statement from another epim-user. He mentioned a cross-linking auto-feature...
In "Tomboy" and "Linked Notes" , when I write a word that is identical with the header of any item, it is automatically made a link to that item. For me, cross-linking extensively between projects, tasks, contacts and research-notes, that would be a very much appreciated feature.
I found it: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=12536&p=52679&hilit=linking#p52679
Cross-linking is one of best features in a pim. But is has to be simple and very fast. Maybe EPIM could make suggestions for the cross-links, so the user could choose one or search another item.
As I have some quite large notes I would like to be able to make links ( sometimes called " anchor ") in certain places within a note...
He also wrote that there should be also the possibility to link to "anchor" within notes - not only to the whole note. This is something I also need and wrote here in the forum some time ago.

Ok, if it's re-opened, I'll publish my only request:
  • The Android version should work with the common EPIM database
The reason is: I do a file sync between my computers (PC, Notebook-Computer, Tablet computer and Android Smartphone) and my network home-server. And one of the files is the EPIM database.
So I could sync from everywhere, also via mobile connection using Dyn-DNS.

It's my only request - all other things are working well for me.

Kind regards!

Absolutely, cross-linking! Don't hardly need Evernote anymore, except on phone.
Close second to that, the year view in Portable Pro allows for scheduling even Outlook doesn't have!
Above the other features is the fact that user's request ARE considered, and I believe is one reason why EPIM stands out above all others! :D

1) Not "one feature", but a galore of useful functions.
2) It's portable!
3) The simple and intuitive interface.
4) It's stable and rock solid.
5) It's a product that is alive and in constant evolution.

To be able to Sync between the Desktop computer and the Android Smartphone.

Have been lost without this function since the Palm smartphone is gone and I could no longer use Info Select desktop to sync with my Palm.
Unfortunately for Info Select, it has not seen the light to convert to either the Android or the Apple OS.

I was happy beyond words when I found EssentialPIM :D could accomplish this.

Had been using Info Select since 1984 and carried all my info with me when it was able to sync to the Palm. Have been lost without it until now.

The best function for me is... Filter in corner up, right !
In every modules, start to write the word you search and IMMEDIATLY elements concerned still there and other elements disappears !

It works especially well for project in calendar : this way, even if each events from a project are separated by others events (from others projects), writing the name of the project show me selectioned time passed on it !

GREAT !!!

Cross linking is very important to me. I am trying to wean myself off outlook and so far I think EPIM is very good.

Here is my vote:
- Various synchronization options
- Android version
- Cross-links
- Multiple Sorting/filtering
- Other: Attachments / Different calendar's viewing options and some customization of them (like to show only work week, etc)

Other (write your feature in comments)

I have voted for Android version, but IMO the choice between Android version & Cross-links is not very appropriate.
In fact I prefer cross links, but since I use an Android phone and am frequently away from a Desktop or Laptop, the best software
is pretty useless if it is not always with me.

Of the features listed I'd say Hyperlinking is the best one for me, though I am happy to see that you allow us the option to name other features too. So, firstly I would name reliability. have never lost any data from EPIM, not strictly a feature, but certainly an essential. Multiple trees in notes is nice too.

Cross-linking.
However could be much more convenient adding to RMB option "Open the link", instead of only option of using two hands: Ctrl+LMB.
