Just upgraded to 7.53, but this 'feature' may have been in earlier versions and I just missed it. Fortunately I never ran across it.
I was writing a message and accidentally rolled my mouse wheel over the subject line of my reply. It selected a different subject (from some previous email) and there was no way to get my actual subject line back. Huh?
Is there any way to disable that pick list entirely?
I cannot imagine why I would ever want to pick a previous subject line from a list. At most, I might manually edit the existing subject, but to have a list that doesn't even include the current (real) subject line is useless to me. Actually, worse than useless since it can (as it did here) cause the real subject to be lost.
Thanks.

Hello,
I think this is an edge case that you experienced. Overall, keeping last Subjects is a useful feature, and the fact that you can change is with a scroll is a by-side feature. So far no plans to change it.

Why not at least include the current subject at the top of the list?

Will consider this. However, subjects get added to the list only when saved/sent. It is difficult to understand what's "current subject" while it is being edited.

...that would be the current contents of the Subject field, I would guess (at the time the drop arrow was clicked, or probably when the control got focus). Or ever easier, the text in the subject field when the message / reply was started.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hello,
I totally agree with lphilpot.
I wrote it in another subject. I also find this option dangerous.
Why not make it optional : presence of the arrow or not ?

Options are bad. They add additional burden on UI and in the end UI is too bloated. So we usually try to avoid this. However, we will still consider what could be done in this case.
