Too long is how long? Normally it doesn't take longer than a second. And you can always choose to enable auto-sync, which is barely noticeable at all.

This shouldn't be happening, something's not right with the mail server or your connection. Please forward me the latest log file, will check what's causing this situation. The log file can be found here: Tools->Options->Synchronization, Browse... and its filename should start with "Mail". Thanks.

Thanks, it takes about 30 secs to sync everything as there's lots of folders and email server isn't the fastest one. Although, you shouldn't really click on the Send/Receive button all the time as folders are being synced regularly and new mail should appear instantly if the IDLE option is enabled in the account settings.
