Found some issues in the actual czech language file (translation) for v. 7.23:

1. Small text and/or without possibility write text on the next line
a) string 2603 - I suggest "Vítejte v programu EssentialPIM.||Dvojitým kliknutím levého tlačítka myši si vyberete databázi." and bigger size of font too
b) string 1523 - overflow ("Nevyplňovat čas, pokud je zadáno datum zahájení ne...")
c) string 1558 - overflow ("Alternativní barva linky řá...") + BUG: when change only size of the font (without color), button <Apply> is always inactive
d) string 6078 - too small in comparison with other labels in the tray (strings: 6080,6081,6082..)

2. Incorrectly displayed text with czech accents
a) string 1962: "PO DATU DOKONčENí" instead of "PO DATU DOKONČENÍ", "BEZ DATA DOKONčENí" instead of "BEZ DATA DOKONČENÍ", "SPLNěNO" instead of "SPLNĚNO"

Discovered misleading and confusing labels in (not only) a version for Android:

1. We have the option of "Add as child" and "Add as sibling" when moving selected asks . It's confusing because we do not create new items but only move the existing item(s).

2. You can put together multiple logins in the Passwords module called "Groups". This term is commonly used in conjunction with contacts (for example Friends, Family, Customers, etc.). For passwords is usually used the term "Categories" (for example License SW, E-mails, Chats, Finance / Banking etc.).

1. You can add sibling and child tasks to the selected ones.
2. That's groups in Windows EPIM, as well.

1. It's confusing in the Android app. I can only create a note or task that can then be defined within the hierarchy. I do not create the marked items again but I move them.
2. The use of the term "group" in the Passwords module is too general, but the predefined category in the Password module looks much more professional and competitive. This is the same as the "tree" and "sheet" in the Notes module (mainly used in MS Excel). It is not easy to use a suitable translation concept - the "sheet" is OK (something like Sheet Tab), but the "tree" sounds obsolete (the "workbook" sounds much better).

1. That mostly depends on your usage scenario. You do that your way, other users do that their way.

Hello,
thanks to Georgo2010 for opening this topic.

There is one similar issue in Today module. Section ANNIVERSARIES at the bottom right displays wrong Czech accents (lowercase instead of uppercase):
úNO, BřE, KVě, čER etc. These are the abbreviations of months.

It looks that all UPPERCASE texts displayed by EPIM have this error (probably due to some miscommunication between EPIM and Windows codepage).

Quite demanding translation EPIM, v. 8.15 to Czech is in progress, about 75% completed... Some texts have been improved or corrected at the same time.

Hi admin,

Finally, I managed to translate all new texts from version 7.23 to the latest version 8.15 in my humble free time. Some texts have been improved, some have been translated "out of context". Slovak translation is not yet totally suspended due to the optimization and stabilization of terminology in Czech translation, from which is primarily based.

Hi admin,

I finished the Czech translation to version 8.5, compared numerous changes with the primary English translation. I believe that the users will be much more satisfied and perhaps more likely to contribute with their impetus to further improvement. Please try EssentialPIM functionality. :)

Hi,

I have made some minor corrections and improvements in the translation. I am postponing minor problems in translation from the lack of my free time.

Problems encountered in translating to Czech:

1. Non-translated texts: "EPIM (*.epim)", "Check" and "Select parent note"; I recommend to translate as "Database EPIM (*.epim), "Check database".

2. Text nr. 4639 has been removed?

3. Text nr. 8752 "Total number of messages only" and text nr. 6146 "Number of messages:" mean total number for received, unread messages or all messages?

4. "Meeting" means same as a calendar event and "project" means same as a newsletter?

5. Text nr. 3748 "Light color" means same like text nr. 3749 "Border" or "Color line"?

6. Text nr. 3702 "Stretch" means "Stretch line"?

7. Please inform the user when writing a newsletter about the need to comply with the antispam law (necessary consent to receive commercial communications with the option of unsubscribing) and in accordance with the GDPR (personal data protection).

8. I did not understand too much the concept of "conserved messages" in text no 9584. In which countries is this term often used?

9. Text nr. 6832 "Exclude dubious characters:" didn't make much sense in the czech translation. A more appropriate and frequently used term is "Exclude (easy) interchangeable characters".

10. What does the text nr. 6458 mean in practice? It is almost impossible to translate correctly without knowing the context.

11. Where is the text nr. 6814 "Text/ontacted (received):" used?

1. Where these words/phrases are coming from?
2. As far as I can see there's still this line in the English language file.
3. The line 8752 you can find in Tools->Options->Mail (this is for new mail only). 6146 is for a total number of messages located in the mail folder (right click on the folder and choose Properties).
4. Meaning might be different depending on the context.
5. Nope, different menaning. This is from the table properties in Notes.
6. 3702=&Width:. Not sure where the "stretch" word is coming from.
8. This is coming from the Pro version. Create a new mail message, click on Insert->Canned response.
9. Which words to use in translation is up to you, of course.
10. This is the authorization method for Gmail accounts. You can leave it as it is.
11. 6814=Text|Masked. This is in the Passwords module.
