Hallo,
ich erhalten mit der Version 9.6 einen Hinweise beim Öffner der Datenbank, siehe Anhang. Windows wurde neu gestartet.

It means there's another copy of EssentialPIM running on your PC with the database file opened in it.

Nach einer weiteren Prüfung gibt es wirklich 2 Prozesse. Einmal unter Apps und ein weiterer unter Hintergrundprozesse. Eingesetzes System ist Win 10 Pro. Ist die Version 9.6 einsetzbar?

I'm not sure there's something to fix. If you reboot your PC and start EPIM (if it not starts with Windows), will there be the same question?

Bei mir genau das gleiche! auch nach Neustart von Windows & EPIM, auch nach löschen der .ini-Datei. EPIM glaubt, die Datei sei bereits geöffnet.
Aber bis jetzt konnte ich keine negative Auswirkung davon bemerken. Ich denke, man kann die Meldung einfach ignorieren- aber ein Bug ist´s trotzdem!

If possible, do the following:
1. make a copy of your database file
2. open the created copy with EPIM and delete all the important data from it
3. optimize the database, exit, start again and see if the problem is still there
4. if it is, archive the file it and forward to us
5. we will then try to fix the issue
