Missing Anniversaries with Moduke TODAY

Post by kk_in_zdf »

Hallo, I run EssentialPIM Free 9.9.7 under Windows10. I create new events with attributes 'All day event' and 'Anniversary' and 'Repeat every 1 year'. Newly created events of this type or not displayed under module TODAY - Anniversaries. But events that are created earlier are shown. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Many thanks

You need to add birthday dates into contacts in order for them to appear in the Anniversaries section of EPIM Today.

Thank you very much, that was the solution!
But in connection with the module TODAY I have another question: under Contacts I have declared an additional field, whose name consists only of the multibyte special character † (Hex: e2 80 a0). While in the normal calendar view this special character is displayed without any problems, in the TODAY view it is not displayed and also not the year difference (corresponding to the age with the Birthday field). Thanks a lot.

What's that field type? It should be the "date" one.

Ok, do you have the following option enabled for the field:
Show at the bottom of Calendar and in Today

Yes, both are anabled: 'Show as appointment using category: Anniversary' and 'Show at the bottom of Calendar and in Today'.

In this case it should work. Please forward me a screenshot showing how it looks like on your side.

Here are some screenshots with the most important settings and views. The entry 'Daisy Duck' is an old one with the indication of the years in the module Epim-Today. The entry 'Donlad Duck', on the other hand, is new and does not show the number of years in Epim-Today.

What's the contents of the "†" field for Donald Duck? If the year is 2021 there's no need to show years as their number equals to 0.

Oh, my God! That's what it was. Now I understand. All my new Anniversary entries were from 2021! Actually, it is quite logical that 0 years are not shown. Sorry for my mental blockade and thank you very much for the solution and explanation.
