Three desktops suddenly no response

Windwos 10 offers the possibility to work with different desktops. Is it possible that switching the desktop causes EPIM to hang up and the task manager then displays the message "No response"?

Since I have been using different desktops, this happens again and again.

Shouldn't be happening - at least there's no such problem on our PCs and no other similar reports from the users. Nevertheless, will check the situation out, thanks!

Again it happens. Freezing. The task manager displays "No response".

Please install the Portable version into completely different directory and see if you experience the same issue with it. If not, there's something else rather than EPIM itself that's causing the issue.

Download any of the versions, it will ask you which edition to install during the installation process. We can help you with recovering you key, just forward me a PM with the order id number.

Ok, I installed a second version of the programme in its own directory. But I wasn't asked if I wanted to install a mobile version? :-)

Do I have to uninstall the first installation first?

After I had no success with both installed EPIM versions (standard installation and portable parallel) I have now uninstalled all EPIM installations. Then I reinstalled EPIM as Porable in a new directory. I copied the database and opened it in EPIM. I then opitmised the database, which only worked with errors at the beginning. But in the end I was able to optimise the database without any problems or messages. In a certain sense, I had the impression that EPIM now runs more consistently. After about 1 1/2 days I experienced a frozen EPIM again (see picture).

I then killed the task and restarted EPIM and so it runs again, until the next crash.

With that, I have to wonder what could be offering problems with my PC. I have a Surface Book, an i5 processor and unfortunately only 8 GB RAM. The 256 GB disk is still 1/4 empty, so there's plenty of room and Windows Prof 64 Bit.

I'm looking forward to version 10, then I hope to finally be able to use EPIM productively. So far it only runs parallel to Outlook. But I will be happy to uninstall Outlook then!

Likely the issue is with your database file. What's the number of different items stored in it (make a screenshot from File->Database Management)?

BUT I do not know what "Nachrichten" means with 40084 items. Are these Emails?

Thanks, if you perform database optimization (click on the Optimieren button), will it make any difference?
