Checkboxes display very thiny in High-DPI screen

Post by FiroKun »

Hi!
I recently get an MSI laptop with 4k display in 15.6 screen, wich let me with a High DPI screen. I must say that it's very stressfull to view so many 3rd party softwares that don't scale very well to that DPI density and are displayed with so many UI errors. EPIM isn't one of those, but it's not free of errors displayin at that resolution with Windows scaling percent.
So, the problem is with the checkboxes that are to thiny at the point that it's very difficult to check it. The rest of the UI (by now) are ok and display fine! the problem is with the checkboxes. Any idea or suggestion?

Information:
- Laptop: MSI GS63VR 7RF Stealth Pro with 4k display
- System: Windows 10 Pro v10.0.16299.19
- Screen: 4k display, interface sclaed at 250% by Windows
- EPIM v7.6

Please download latest version from here: https://www.essentialpim.com/get-epim
even if you think you have the latest version. The issue might have been fixed there.

Well I have 7.6 downloaded 3 days ago, there's been an update since then? The page says 7.6, isn't the same 7.6 I already have?

There has been a silent release to fix high-dpi problems and in such cases the version numbers don't change. That was released on 9 november, so if you write 3 days ago, it might very well be that you just missed that update. In my case the EPIM PRO portable (original stated 6-11) now stated creation date 9-11-2017.
