Frizzell9, does it always start showing the error on a particular note or the note you're seeing the error on is random each time?

Is there any update on this problem? I see elsewhere that version 9.4 has been amended and re-uploaded but I don't know if this issue has been addressed?

Please be more specific. When does it happen on your side, what leads to it? Otherwise I'm not really sure if we're talking about same thing.

I couldn't do any more at the time as the application froze within a few seconds of running.
I just reinstalled version 9.4 and tried again. And I think I have found the problem; some of my notes are very large and have many attachments which are related, many of which are PDFs. There is no way it would ever make any sense to view them inline. But what was happening is that the note would load and then all the PDF attachments would try to load as well. This made EPIM completely unusable.
But I have turned off "Show attached PDFs inline" and it is working again. I strongly suggest that as a default, that option is off until explicitly turned on.
The way I use EPIM means that unlike with emails, where viewing attachments inline can be helpful, I would never find it of use with notes. But PDFs inline makes no sense to me as they are usually self-contained documents, but that's probably me missing something.

Thanks very much for the explanation, clear now. The way previews of PDF files are displayed will be optimized in the upcoming 9.4.1 version of EPIM (due next week). So you might want to check out how previews are going to work then, you should be able to notice some positive changes.

There was only that one peculiar event of the 'topmost' note opening without error, that I mentioned previously when I tested turning off the 'Show PDFs Inline' but other than that, the answer is No, this persistent situation is more like, "Okay Frizzell, you get to click on X number of notes, and then I'm going to flip out on you...hahaha (evil laugh)..."

I'm trying to hold off reverting back one version, but this note module is pushing all my patience buttons, so please let us know approximately when a bug fixed release will be forthcoming. Thanks, Frizzell9

It's 6:39am Tue, 10/13/2020. I just installed 9.4.1, and so far the Notes module is working perfectly. I think you may have fixed it.

It's 8:27am Tue, 10/13/2020. I spoke too soon. The Notes module is erroring out again, and yes it is random notes, and yes it happens after clicking on X number of Notes. Rats! And, I have to use the Task Manager to kill the program... again.

I could have sworn you fixed it, as it DID work for a longer period of time after installing the update.

I'm attaching a screenshot of the error message again, and it wont let me click on 'Details' for you, so there's nothing else I can offer to help unless you ask me to try something.
