Sync error on opening

Since I updated to EPIM 9.6.1 two days ago, when I run it there is a sync error box displayed as well as the main window opening. It happens about half the times I run it, not every time. Screenshot attached.

Any ideas?

EPIM 9.6.1
Windows 10 64 bit version 2004

Hi there (and happy NY),

so finally somebody else got this. So far I thought I'm the only one.
Over here this was the case for some versions now (at least from 9.5). However ... difficult to find/locate (support did all it's best).
At present, I run a solution for that, which seems to be positive. But as this may not be the final solution, it's better to test it for some more days.
What would be interesting to know: What things does EPIM normally do, when it starts?
Everything I mention comes out of my experience. I'm not an expert. Feel free to try anything I suggest ... but always at your own risk.

How many and what kind of synchronizations are in your database (not counting IMAP mail accounts)?
Android version of EssentialPIM. Keep all your data in sync!

In my case support is about to view my DB. Hopefully they find something.

It seems to have stopped the error opening when EPIM is run, as far as I can tell.

So far, with me too. But I let it run for some days. Sometimes in the past it looked like it had vanished, only to come up again after 2 days. Will report if it does.
