How to add a special TAG to multiple records in one step?

Post by Chris17 »

In Tasks, I want to change all records of one list to have a tag named with the name of the list. (After this, I want to close the list.)
Because there are about 500 records in the list:
How can I add the tag to all records in one step?
If I mark all records and add a tag, the tag will only appear in the last marked record.

Adding a tag to any number of tasks at once is possible:

1. Select the tasks you want to add the tag to, there are several ways:
  • Ctrl+A (Menu Edit > Select All);
  • clicking on the first task, holding down SHIFT key, clicking on the last task in the list;
  • clicking on tasks while holding down CTRL key to select items that aren't one after another;
  • drawing a rectangle with the left mouse button over the tasks to select.
2. The right mouse click menu (or Shift+F10, or Context menu key) > Tags > Choose/add the tag and check mark it.
