What's your Windows version? This can be adjusted in the system notification settings on Win10.

Re: No sound notification
I have the same problem, but this exists for many versions now. With version 7 or 8, I don´t know exactly, they introduced that sounds where set in Windows System settings- from there on I have no sound. Before you could directly choose a sound-file, which, in my opinion, ist the much better alternative.
In my case, there is no way to open system settings from within EPIM in "tools/options/mail", because there is no application associated with it. I even set ALL possible sounds in Windows System to the desiered sound, but without success. I reported this at that time, but there was no solution. Since then I live without notification sound......

Re: No sound notification
It works again:
Control Panel - System and Security - System - Notifications and Actions - Turn EssentialPIM to ON - Restart Windows.
