Notes Module: Selection of a Tag by Mouse

Entering a tag into the "Tags Field" at the buttom of a note lists existing tags as you type.
It's not possible to choose one of the listed tags by mouse.

Unable to reproduce this. Please try double clicking on a tag, will it work then?

Double clicking on a listed tag is not possible because the "while you type list disappears" after the first click with left mouse button.
But as shown in a screenshot the selected tag "Test_Tag1" is not taken over into the buttom line for tags.

I see, may I ask you to please record a short video demonstrating the issue? I think this should help us to better deal with the problem.

Not sure if it helps any, I don't have the issue myself.
I was able to reproduce the end result - the tag Test remaining in the field with no tag suggestions.
But only by clicking above the tag suggestions list and not on one of the suggestions.
A wild guess: maybe with some scaling settings or something else the mouse click goes not where it should, away from the list, and the issue happens.

Keldi, thanks for looking into this. That behavior when the "Test" tag is recorded when you click outside the field is intentional.

Thanks to Keldi trying to reproduce my issue.

The problem seems related to my hardware configuration:
Laptop (14'') with additional external Monitor (27'') but with different resolution.
The external Monitor is used in extended mode. I have attached some screenshots with details.
The issue with the selection of tags by mouse only occurs on the external monitor.
When I move the EPIM-Window to the Laptop Screen the mouse selection of Tags is possible.

Sorry, the video recorded with the VLC Media Player doesn't show the mouse pointer.
Selection from the "while you type list" was done by mouse with left click but is not taken over.
Do you have a recommendation for me which program is easy to use and more suitable to record such a short video?

I don't know what people use these days for recording screen videos. I've been using ShareX since before there were a lot of other alternatives. And in the GIF above for highlighting mouse clicks I used a fork from carnac
But I haven't tried either on an external monitor, I have no idea how they act with that setup.

schindi, it works as intended even if we try to reproduce the issue on a configuration like yours (a laptop and an external monitor connected to it, with the extended configuration). Although, we were testing this with EPIM 9.9 Beta2. Let me know if you'd like to try the Beta version out, as well, will forward you download instructions.
