iCloud Synchronization - "HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized" error

Hello,

I already read the few posts relative to this before posting but they all suggest turning on F2A and using app specific password but I DO NOT WANT to use F2A which is for me a real "pain in the A**" for many reasons.

It was working till a few months / versions before but no more (Latest Pro version installed, same on WIN7 and WIN10)

I just would like it to work normally as before...

Thank you for your help.

I think that's the other way around actually. The reason why users are getting "HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized" error is because they are using 2FA. In that case they should be using app-specific passwords. If you are not using 2FA, you should be able to use iCloud username/password.

I am sorry but if you read help pages on Apple site you'll see that to allow app-specific passwords you MUST use 2FA... I don't use it and don't want to use it, that's reason why I can't even try app-specific password
