shortcut/symbolic note copies

Post by Rose Ford »

I frequently find myself wishing I could have the same note in two different places in the note tree.

Just like the way on the desktop/file explore you can have a file.txt and then a link to that file elsewhere by making a shortcut as file.lnk

Making hard copies makes it so I have to remember to update more than one copy of a note.

For that very reason I made it a rule for myself to keep information in one place (note) only and everywhere else I put a link to that note in place of the second note's text.

When I need to look up the information, I use Alt+click on the link to switch to the note in the EPIM main view and then the Go Back button to return back to where I was before that.

I tried to put the link not inside of the note, but in the note's name

but for some reason, only Ctrl+click works there, and Alt+click on the link does nothing.
