Is there any way to stop the note "tabs" from moving when you click them?
For instance, if you click a tab that is on the bottom of the list in the column it jumps up to the top.
I think it would be better to have them stationary and then you could manually move them into positions of importance.

Re: Note Tab Movement
Have there been any advancements with the tab movement and making them stationary /user friendly?

Re: Note Tab Movement
I don't want to sound like a pest but is this really that hard of a fix?
It's the one thing about this program that prevents me from using it more.
I have a lot of tabs and each time I click one, they all move and I have to search around through all the tabs to see where the next one I want to click on moved to. It's terribly frustrating.
Making them stationary lets the user "know" or become accustomed to where the tabs are enabling them to move quicker through the information.
It's a much more efficient way of doing things.

Hi kk,
I agree with you that it's more efficient way of doing things. But the best would be if there was a setting which made it possible to choose which one of this two behaviour you want. So now they know the best solution and maybe they make now this improvement.
I think the most people want to have the note list not moving and they just take a look at the selected note name. The idea with drag and drop the notes is also very good but I don't know when they will build this features in. The sorting in order of importance or alphabetical order is also a good idea of you but the development of EPIM seems to stock. Can we see somewhere how the development goes forward?
I don't know how the development of EPIM goes forward but it seems to go not well as some good tips are not added since years how I see. For example the database and EPIM version check with a prompt for the network version. And this user has some fears that the version difference could crash EPIM or compromise the database.
I would also like to have a history on the homepage where you would see what has changed in the new version of EPIM with posts to every version.

Hello,
I agree, that moving of a note after switching to another is cumbersome. I think it goes to the position, where the cursor was last time, if you scroll with the mouse or sidebar, it remembers not position, only the position of the cursor.
But the sorting order is easily changed: you can sort by drag and drop, or right moue click "arange by"......
