To Do or Not To Do - What is the question?

Post by Chris »

Basically this is an additional suggestion for To-Do's.

Bear in mind that these are nice to have's:

1. A custom sorting option for to-do's. E.g. Sort By: Category, Priority, Subject

2. A way to collapse / expand the Tree in the To-Do list to only show the parent and not the children like you have the option in Windows Explorer when you click on the [+] and [-] next to the directory.

Chris

Hello Chris,

Isn't sorting performed when you click on a column name in To-Do main view?

Isn't it shown when you Click on "Table" (on the right pane) in To-Do main view?

Hi Max,

Been away for a few days ... anyway

My mistake here, what I meant is: Sort By: Category Then Priority Then Subject.

No, unfortunately when you click on "Table" view you get a flat list of all your ToDo's (Parent and Children). LFor example, my Todo Tree looks like this:

- Parent 1
|---P 1 Child 1
|---P 1 Child 2
-Parent 2
|- Par 2 Child 1
| |--- Par 2 Child 1 Sub 1
| |--- Par 2 Child 1 Sub 2

If you use table, you get a list like this:

Parent 1
Child 1
Child 2
Parent 2
Par 2 Child 1
Par 2 Child 1 Sub 1
Par 2 Child 1 Sub 2

What I was asking for was TreeView functionality like this:

+ Parent 1
+ Parent 2

So you can see only the Parent tasks.

Chris

I see. Yes, that's planned, multiple sorting.

I see now. That's also in the plans, but will require a whole remake of To-Do module.
