Toolbar customization suggestion.

Post by S_Belle »

Love the new toolbar customization in 9.6 thus far, just wished it had options to also hide the style, and font size boxes too since I never use them and they take up the most room.

Another suggestion on this one:

If possible make it so that you can customize the tool bars for the main interface note toolbar and the pop-out editor separately.

I'd still like most of the tools in the main interface, but I could really do with cutting the pop-out editor down to a single line of commands for more space.

On this note it would also be nice to hide the tag field in the pop-out editor too without hiding it in the main interface.

I'm going to add this here rather than making a new topic since it seems relevant enough:

Suggestion:

Add Table to the Menu bar > Insert options.

That way people who hide the toolbar button can still insert the rare table without having to unhide the button.

Love the customizable toolbar too.
A suggestion: add a button at the end of toolbar with a drop-down list of all the actions that were hidden. A really quick mockup:

What I miss, is, that there are ONLY the options in the toolbar (bold, size, color and so on). This options should be available in the "Edit"-menu too!Not only as icons! This seems the logical place to be for this options.

TumbleDoor, will do, thanks for the note.

Keldi, interesting suggestion, will consider it, thanks.

a8907433, you mean to list all the notes toolbar icons as actions in the Edit menu? If so, not sure about that..

Yes! EPIM has only icons- you can´t even choose "show text below icon". I do not use extensive editing functions of text- most often bold, size or color. So I "know" only a few icons on first sight. Often I would rather like to go to a menue "Edit/fonts/color", or "Format/Font/strikthrogh + bold + cursive (with checkboxes)" for example, rather than looking for an icon. In my opinion, menues (Text) are STANDARD and icons are additional.
