Handling em's in spellcheck
Is this a punctuation handling oversight, or an EssentialPIM intent?

Could not reproduce, are you by chance using a custom dict?
Or using an earlier version of EPIM besides the current version (9.7.5 you can check in Main menu > About) an issue with the —em dash was fixed several versions ago, can't recall which one though.

Re: Handling em's in spellcheck
It was something I noticed and then compared to a pasting without issue in Microsoft Word after observing it occur in EssentialPIM.
For what it's worth, I've noticed some apostrophe's also generating an error coming from some fonts, while perfectly fine in others.
Copying a pasting the —em from your post into an EssentialPIM appointment still generates the squiggly red underscore.
Odd. Go figure.

It's something with EPIM's spell check in all modules other than Notes (was trying to reproduce it there, and all was good with em dash).dream_weaver wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 3:30 am Copying a pasting the —em from your post into an EssentialPIM appointment still generates the squiggly red underscore.
The dictionary doesn't matter, tried with the current one (from EPIM update 9.5) and with old one (that was used for years before that).
The issue can be reproduced in an appointment with both (but not in Notes, again with both versions of spell check dictionary).

I leave out one minor detail . . .

Thanks for letting us know about that issue. Will attempt to fix in the new versions.
