Linking Notes Attachments to Contact

I have a note with attachments on it. I want to link a document in the note back to a contact or have it show up in the related items. The only way I see to do this is to add it twice which seems like a bad way to do it.

How would I do this?

You are right, as of now the only way you can do it is to attach it twice.

Anything I need like this I attach as a link rather then a file and keep them in a sub-folder named "attachments" in my EPIM portable folder.
It's far from ideal but it works in the meantime. It's been requested a number of times on the forum at this point to do something about this issue, so hopefully something will be done about it at some point.
