How to change the proposed port number for synch?
Hello,
I would like to synchronize another Android device (I use already 3 devices successfully),
but I get a port number (from EPIM on PC) I don't like to use , during installing of the new
connection first time.
How can I change it (on PC) as it is proposed in the trouble-shooting document?
Thank you
Regards
Rob

What you can do is to create a new sync with the proposed port number and then change it later in settings once synchronization is created.

Re: How to change the proposed port number for synch?
Thanks for answer.
However, the port number proposed by EPIM does not work at all.
Because I can not create a new synch, I have no chance to modify the port number.
I'm a bit lost.

What's the proposed port number? Is there an error message when you try to connect to EPIM using the port number that it offers?

Re: How to change the proposed port number for synch?
Proposed port number is 21124.
All other sync connections work with 21114...21118.
I would like to use one of the 2111x area. Then I expect
synch will work as with the other units.
Any idea?
Thanks

Re: How to change the proposed port number for synch?
Hi admin,
Now connection between new smartphone and PC is working with newest version.
However, synchronization hangs during "task synch". (endless loop). Contacts and
calendar seem to be synchronized correctly.
Any further idea?
Thanks

Re: How to change the proposed port number for synch?
Please clear up the Android sync data from File > Database management and try to sync again. If that doesn't help, forward me (via PM here in the forum) the latest sync log file, which can be found here: Tools->Options->Synchronization, Browse...
