Okay, let's see if we're trying to correctly reproduce the problem, assuming you have a new clean installation of AEPIM and a new WinEPIM database file.
1. You go to AEPIM settings, click on the Reminder and Ringtone option and choose one of the system sounds for "Sound"
2. Create a new test event with a reminder and wait till the reminder comes up. As I understand you're going to hear the sound you set up in the previous step
3. Create another test event with a reminder to be fired up in couple of minutes in AEPIM. Meanwhile setup and perform synchronization with WinEPIM. What happens now when the reminder sounds - will you hear the chosen in the first step sound on Android? If yes, see the next step
4. Create a test event in WinEPIM with a reminder to be sounded in couple of minutes. Synchronize with AEPIM. Which sound is going to be used now on Android when the reminder comes up?

1 Yes
2 Yes and I hear the chosen sound
3 After syncing I can hear the default system sound for notification
4 The same as in 3

Re: Reminder Ringtone
Thanks, I think this might be related to the ASUS ROM as it works as expected on our test devices. Will try to get hold on an ASUS device to check it out..

Re: Reminder Ringtone
The sound on my phone is also the default, not the selected.
(My phone is Sony Xperia 1, Android 9, AEPIM v5.7.4.)
However, a new event can be heard with the selected sound, even after synchronization too.
The previous entries do not.
I deleted everything off the phone and then synced the data from the PC to the phone, but sound is not good.
In addition, I turn off the vibration and indicator light even though they stay that way in the settings, but the device flashes, vibrates, and even makes a bad sound.
This is ridiculous.
The Android version would also be very good.
But there are plenty of mistakes.
These are basic, main functions and do not work.
They are annoying, nerve-racking, irritating.
The next version will fix one, but will be replaced by another three.
Events are duplicated during synchronization, a completed task on the other device will be incomplete, data is lost....
The program is unreliable.
There is always something that does not work properly.
Bug, Bug, Bug, Bug, Bug.
I'm tired of perpetual testing, rehearsals, reinstallations, waiting for a new version, then testing again, rehearsals...
It robs a lot of time.
When you buy a television, does it work that (same) way?

Re: Reminder Ringtone
If you face any issue, please describe it in as much details as possible so that we could reproduce and fix it in the new versions of the app. I understand your frustration but saying all that isn't really helpful, unfortunately. Thanks.
