Too easy to check a task as completed
Hi,
in my opinion, it's too easy to make a task "completed" by accident since it is a single tap action, and it is easily overlooked.
A confirmation would be useful to avoid accidental "completion" of tasks.

I doubt other users will support this idea. As basically unmarking a task as completed or choosing to use the Undo option to bring it back to the previous state is faster than dealing with the confirmation windows.

Wouldn't it be faster in such cases to just use the Undo option or to uncheck the checkbox (if the completed items are shown) than to go through the confirmation dialog every single time you wish to mark a task as completed?

Re: Too easy to check a task as completed
The problem is that you might not even notice when you tap the "completed" checkbox by accident.
The consequences of "forgetting" a task can be severe!
I'm not setting up tasks like "watch this movie some day" or "buy salad" but important business tasks.
So even if it might seem annoying to double check to complete a task, it can definitely be justified in many business use cases.

Understood, thanks. Will wait a bit - if there's more similar requests, then probably make this optional.

Re: Too easy to check a task as completed
How about an option to "Check" by short tap or long press.
Some other apps I use give you the option to do this and it works great.
I have this problem with some lists also, things are too easy to accidentally "check off", especially if you don't scroll or swipe correctly. Sometimes phones get busy and don't respond right away to the motions and then process them as a touch when they do. A lot of times I make mistakes by going too fast.
I'd like to see this also.
Thanks,
Larry

Thanks for sharing. I personally like lbw2112's suggestion with an optional long press more but will have to go with what the majority prefers.

Re: Too easy to check a task as completed
Personal Perspective: Any of the 3 suggestions noted in earlier posts would be fine - and better than a Too Easy click.
Option (to either show a confirmation or not); or Long Press; or a Static (Always On...) 'Are Your Sure?' button.

Hello Everyone,
The "Undo", i.e. "Cancel" button is very good and necessary everywhere.
The "long press" function is already busy because of that is the selection or mark.
If the two are combined, it will be difficult to differentiate between long pressures, many people would get confused.
The "Are Your Sure?" dialog/button seems the best and easiest.
What’s still practical here is that it can be turned on or off in the settings, and then everyone acts the way they likes.
Thanks.
