folks at EssentialPIM,
Is it possible to recover EssentialPIM data from a backup created by Samsung's SmartSwitch program on an Android phone? If so, can someone please provide or point me to instructions?
Thanks, and best regards.

Sorry, we aren't aware of such app, therefore cannot suggest anything, unfortunately. We'd recommend to use the build-in EPIM backup option.

Thank you for the reply and information. Unfortunately it is not possible to create a new backup at this time.
Let me ask the question a different way - where and what files need to be extracted from the android file structure on the original phone please?

All the EPIM data is stored in the system database on Android, you will not be able to extract it into files.

Thanks again for the reply and info.
Ah. That's most unfortunate in this case. I wish that I had known / realized that - lots (decades) of data lost (since sync with PC was not working)... oh well . Thanks for the info.
