Bug: Infinite error when host and client go to sleep.

Post by MetalDrop »

The scenario that I can always get this to happen:

Have EPIM open and connected on a client system, put that system to sleep.

Put the EPIM host system to sleep.

Leave it overnight turn on the client system.

This error will show up, and there is no way to get rid of it outside of using task manager to kill the process.
It will keep instantly coming back up no mater how many times Okay or [X] is hit or regardless of if the host comes back online or not.

Confirmed, submitted long time ago, no one cares.
Funny, for years this hasn't been a problem on a host. It worked that way, as expected: after the host going idle, one could wake it up, and work on EPIM easily.
Now, since some update, it's been ...ed up. For around a year and a half. The only way is, as you said, to kill all EPIM instances in Task Manager. We work on 3 instances, so this is always a pain in butt.
No worries, as said, no one cares.

We will look into the issue. However, EPIM Business relies on a server, which, by definition is not expected to be off regularly.

Couldn't you just restore the old functionality? It worked well for a couple of years.
