Hello, I think there is a bug in newsletter functionality, and a heavy one, I think.
I am using essentialpim pro version 8.15
I am using it local, portable
I have Windows 7
Actually, I wanted to create an email to friends with a picture inside, and put a link on the picture.
I realized I could not resize the picture without maintaining the side ratios and there was no way to enter the pixel length.
So I used the new Newsletter feature because there your program lets me edit the HTML.
I did the resize. Then I sent out the mail.
The mail was sent with the pictures, so the data load was there, but the email did not load the pictures at the receiver's end.
I received an empty area that is still clickable but without picture.
In the HTML, the source is an internal reference to the picture:
<img width="436" height="270" title="Pour plus d'informations sur 5G kla.tv" alt="Pour plus d'informations sur 5G kla.tv" src="cid:2A8B749040C7C67B" border="2">
Within Essentialpim, the pictures is loaded. But when I send it and look in my webmail of receiver, then I get the empty area although the pic has been sent together with the mail.
Now, I found a workaround. Simply send the mail normally from EssentialPim, without the newsletter function.
The Newletter function is new and the HTML-editing is great. Please test it with an inline picture that has a link. I think this is essential for a newsletter to load pictures correctly!
I can provide both versions of the mail upon request.
